We all need to start somewhere

I’m starting all over again. New domain, new blog. I will try to dig up and repost all of the great things I wrote earlier. Posts about code, debian and pink ponies.

I can also say that I’m back on planet.debian.org and on planet.samfundet.no. The link to my blog on women.debian.org should also be fixed soon.

Why don’t you just import the old blog entirely? Wordpress has reasonable support for this (although as I don’t know where your old blog is or what it runs I can’t determine whether Wordpress would handle it automatically).

When I moved from Blogger to a self-hosted Wordpress installation I copied all the old content. Admittedly some of the links are a little strange (but working) and the content is not of the quality of my most recent stuff.

But I believe that it’s best for my readers to have all my content in one place, and when I link to articles written before the move it’s best to link on the same site.

Note that having started writing on the new blog does not prevent you from importing the old content. Wordpress can handle the out of order IDs and will display them in date order. If the posts are more than a few days old the various Planets won’t have a problem.

Whoah, Debian *and* pink ponies! I’ll tag along just to see that alone. And more I hope.

Me too. Only this time I’m doing it both in Norwegian and English.

I actually prefer blogging in Norwegian. Not just because it is my native language, but also because i believe it is important to use the language. If everything gets written in English, the language will be less relevant.

Still, I feel the need to take part of the international conversations. Tough decisions. I’ll do as Winnie the Pooh.
